I’m sure you are aware of food trucks. You might even be lucky enough to work by a few that offer delicious daily specials only a few steps away. But if you are like the majority of New Jerseyians, food trucks aren’t on your daily path or even near your daily path for that matter. Your familiarity ends with the notion that they are featured on food shows and can be found in large cities and college campuses. Well, this just might be your lucky day! That is, of course, if you live in or around Middlesex County. Here, in Edison to be precise, you will find Lombardi Pizza Co Pizza Truck. And if you can put this place along your daily commute, you should ASAP because it is an experience you will be thankful for.

Deanna: You say tomato, I say … tomato! We may be from two different counties, but we speak the same language when it comes to food. A recent visit to Morristown’s new Tomato Pie found two Jersey Biters in delicious harmony over a Grandma Pie and a nice plate of rice balls.
Lauren: A NYTimes review of Tomato Pie in Morristown had my attention immediately. Thin crust pizza is my favorite, and I’ll find any excuse to return to Morris County. Growing up in Mendham, we didn’t have any good pizza nearby, but the families who live there now will love this place. I called up my fellow Jersey Bites Morris County Regional Editor, Deanna Quinones, who covers Morristown, to see if she had been to Tomato Pie yet. An email exchange evolved into lunch plans, and the “she said/she said” dual restaurant review was born.

These mini pizzas are the perfect post trick-or-treat meal. To keep those little hands from dipping into the candy bag too often, enlist the help of the children in the kitchen. They will love making them as much as they will love eating them! »» Mini Mummy Pizzas are Eerily Delicious

One thing became very evident during our first ever “Jersey’s Best” Pizza event. People are very passionate about their pizza. That, and New Jersey has a boat load of pizza places. We began by calling for nominations from our Facebook Fans in the very beginning of October. After that, we put together a survey using the names nominated and allowed participants to “Pencil In” their favorite if they didn’t see it on the list. When it was all said and done,we had a ton of penciled in favorites which has put a few new places on our radar here at Jersey Bites, and will hopefully do the same for you.

I was on the way home from work Thursday, knowing full well that I had run out of supper supplies, when it occurred to me that with a slight adjustment to what is now becoming my habitually boring commuting route (now I know why they study rats in mazes), I could stop at yet another pizza joint on New Jersey Monthly’s top 25 list: Pizza Town on Rt. 46 W in what I believe to be Elmwood Park. (Run-on sentences rule!)

If you like curry, this Indian Pizza recipe is going to become one of your favorites (and stink up your house for at least a day). I don’t know about you, but I love pizza. Here in New Jersey, we know a thing or two about good pizza. I live one mile from the boardwalk so big fat slices of crispy, chewy, tangy Jersey pizza are mine for the taking whenever I get a craving. When it comes to home cooked pizza, I love pushing the pizza envelope, thinking outside the pizza box, if you will.
