Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen Opening @ Vail Mansion

Chef Chris Cannon invites New Jersey to celebrate the opening of his new restaurant, Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen, with a grand opening dinner starting at 8 p.m. in the historic Vail Mansion in Morristown. Guests will enjoy a five-course wine-pairing dinner to benefit the Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center of Morristown. The Que by the Sea BBQ Festival and Competition @ Grant Avenue, Seaside Heights

The Que by the Sea BBQ Festival and Competition comes to Seaside Heights. The sixth annual competition in the town, it is also recognized as a Mid-Atlantic Barbeque Association State Championship. Contestants from three states will compete in four categories: chicken, ribs, pork and brisket. Admission is free. Grant Avenue, Seaside Heights, 732-830-3700.

Feast of San Gennaro

Downtown Belmar celebrates the Feast of San Gennaro, hosted by Nicchio Ristorante. The event will feature Italian food, wines, games and activities, including the traditional procession of the statue of San Gennaro. The Festival of the Sea @ Point Pleasant

The Festival of the Sea in Point Pleasant celebrates its 37th year with clam chowder and lobster. Twenty-five Point Pleasant area restaurants and 200 crafters will participate.
