This week we are giving away a year’s subscription to my all time favorite magazine. Maybe it’s the food geek in me but I just can’t get enough of the tips and advice forked over in every issue of Cook’s Illustrated Magazine. This little publication makes me look good, every day.
In their own words.
Why Cook’s Illustrated is different than other cooking magazines
“Cook’s Illustrated is dedicated to finding the best methods for preparing foolproof home-cooked meals. Unlike some glossy cooking magazines, our magazine is staffed with cooks and editors not food stylists. Our 2,500 square foot test kitchen — the same kitchen in which we film our public television show, America’s Test Kitchen — has three dozen full-time test cooks whose 9 to 5 job (well maybe 7 to 6 on baking days) is testing and retesting recipes 20, 30, sometimes 50 times until we can offer our readers a recipe we’re confident will work every time. (Of course you have to promise to follow our recipes for those foolproof results.)”
I’m telling you, their advice is the best. I published some posts recently that were a direct result of the proper marinating article. I learn so much with every issue, I want to give this gift to one of my fellow food freaks.
So, just leave me a comment and tell me if you have ever read Cook’s Illustrated Magazine or not. That’s it. I’m just being nosy.
Be sure to leave your contact email in your entry if your profile doesn’t include one or I will have to pick another number.
You can also gain an extra entry by Tweeting or Blogging about this Giveaway. You must come back and leave a comment and link to your tweet or blog post to be counted.
Deadline for entries is Tuesday, June 9th at 11:59pm. Winners will be chosen with the help of Random.org.

The BEST cooking magazine ever. I only wish I always had time to do it their way. They have another magazine called Cook’s Country I think that has excellent info as well. I want to win this more than those cupcakes!
As much as I LOVE to cook, I’ve never heard of this magazine! I do live in a small town though! Thanks for the info:) I’d love to win the subscription!

I subscribed to this magazine years ago when I was single and had money:) I loved every page.
Oh yes, I love Cook’s! I love how they leave nothing to chance and explain the WHYS behind each recipe. My favorite recipe is their Summer Berry Pie. So easy, delicious and it always comes out looking professional! An impressive pie to bring to a summer barbeque!

I have read the magazine at my neighbor’s house and enjoyed many of the goodies she has fixed from it.

What a terrific magazine. The other cooking magazines out there seem to be all about lifestyle. It’s a great resource for those who just want cooking advice. I learn something new every time I pick one up!
Never read it, but it looks like a good one. Thanks for the chance.
Having just had neuro-head surgery, I have lots of time to read. I love the way this magazine does things. Thanks for offering it as a prize.

I have never read it. But I am always on the look out for something new.

I have only heard of this magazine ~ I have never seen an actual copy.
Would love to win this — I’m quickly going through all of the cookbooks I have here and running out of recipes!
I’ve had a subscription before and still have every copy. Use them frequently for holidays and everyday meals. Favorite recipe: Strawberry Cake.
Yes, I’ve read the magazine, but am embarassed to say it’s usually in a bookstore. I did have a subscription ages ago and loved it.
Count me in the contest!
I’ve seen it, but I’ve never flipped through a copy. For some reason, I assumed it was gourmet type cooking. Even if I don’t win, I’ll probably pick up a copy now.
I let mine lapse… FOR SHAME AND HELL! I’d love to re-up my subscription. Lay it on me!
What a great giveaway. I go to my library every month just to check this magazine out.
