Every month I will try to present you with a “Mystery Dish or Ingredient” The person(s) who guesses correctly gets a huge virtual pat on the back and public kudos from Jersey Bites. How’s that for motivation.So, What could this gorgeous concoction be? Leave your guess in the comments below.

    I’m no expert, but the extra 40 pounds or so around my middle says that looks like pastry cream.

    Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! It is indeed home made mayo. And, oh what a treat. I’ll be posting the recipe tomorrow. I hope you will try it if you haven’t yet. This was my first time. My arm almost fell off from whisking, but it was well worth it. It will be hard to go back to good old Helman’s. Thanks Dell from Cooking and the City.

    Maybe next time you make mayonnaise you could try using a blender. I made mayo that way once and it turned out great, not to mention saving yourself a lot of exhaustion!
